Grand National - At The Races

Four for the National: Mick Fitzgerald

RATHVINDEN makes the top of the pile as I feel he is a good jumper overall, has already won over 4m and can handle most types of ground. His recent success in the Bobbyjo Chase was very easy on the eye. He has been targeted at this and that swings it with Willie Mullins in charge.

TIGER ROLL needs no introduction and for good reason. He is a superstar and his four wins at the Cheltenham Festival are Impressive but throw in the fact he has won a Grand National, that makes him the fan favourite. I just worry that he has peaked a couple of times already this season and it will be a hell of a performance if he were to win.

DOUNIKOS was a good winner of a National Trial at Punchestown and looks tailormade for this sort of test.

LAKE VIEW LAD ran a really eye-catching race in the Ultima Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, finishing the race off better than anything. The rain has arrived and that will suit.
