STEPS AND STAIRS won on his first start when switching to the Henry Oliver yard at Sedgefield and a 5lb rise can be defied as he steps back up from 2m3f. Moorstown was second at Ayr on his latest start and can prove competitive running off the same mark here, while Spirit Of Hale could benefit from going up distance.

SPIRIT OF HALE did enough to suggest he’s still in good heart last time. He’s less exposed than most at this level, and with this step back up in trip likely to suit, he could prove to be the answer. San Pietro is clearly still finding his feet for his new yard, with Cruising Bye another to consider.
